A new fitness revolution is taking over America by storm and it's starting to pullulate in the UK.
Treadmills are a staple in gyms everywhere. They are used religiously by some, often ignored and frowned upon by others, and intimidate the rest. But, these modest machines are having a resurgence. Treadmill classes are the biggest trend in fitness this year.
Much like their ancestor; the spin class, treadmill classes are group running sessions on treadmills. And yes, they kick your ass just as good as a spin class. With more than 2 million of us running across the UK it's no wonder these classes are a big hit. The once monotonous workout machine has been revived creating exciting and intense interval classes which will restore your faith and bring the fun back into using that rusty treadmill.
Yet, in America, it's not just the treadmill that's creating new workout classes; the Versa Climber studio in Hollywood - the first of it's kind boutique studio - uses climbing machines to stimulate outdoor climbing and hiking in an interval based 30 minute studio class.
