HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE COOLEST KIDS IN TOWN

Today is the coolest sneakers around's b-day; the one and only, Nike Air Max trainers.

Here's Company Magazine's little snippet history of highlights which just made these cult shoes even cooler. All heil NIKE AIR MAX!

1987: Air Max 1 OG
In an era defined by big hair and even bigger phones, the humble trainer was also given a big-over. In March 1987, a television commercial featuring the
1968 Beatles classic, Revolution, hit screens across the world. Nike introduced their new Air Max shoe to the world with the tagline ‘Revolution in Motion’. The new shoe was born. Designed by architect-turned-trainer-designer Tinker Hatfield, the Air Max 1 took the trainer from humble sportswear to full-blown foot technology.

1990: Air Max 90 OG
It’s the 90s! A whole new decade dawned on the Max brand, and although similar to the 1 OG, these new kicks featured infrareds and a visible air unit, making them
one of the most sought-after Air Max shoes to date.

1992: Aaliyah
Men squeezed into women’s styles and women sized up into men’s shoes – the Max, as sported by Aaliyah, well and truly blurred the gender lines.

1994:Fresh Prince
Will rocked them in Bel Air. 'Nuff said.

1995: Air Max 95 OG
This design by Sergio Lozano was not the best looking style but it was seen as groundbreaking
for its sneaker science.

1997: Air Max 97 OG
Do these shoes remind you of a Japanese Bullet train? Well they should do, they were designed with one in mind. We wore them hoping to look like the girls
from All Saints.

Late 90s: Spice Girls
While the other Spices sported those three-inch platform trainers, Sporty (natch) embraced the Air Max.

2005: Lilly Allen
The Max brand was once again made iconic with the princess of pop stomping around town in her trainers and dresses.
2012: Susie Bubble
Sports luxe was high on the fash-agenda in 2012. The bloggers’ fash-footwear of choice, this new shoe made the annual fash-week hobble-over-cobble all the easier.
S/S13: Moschino
The catwalks offered their own take on the trainer trend – with Moschino Cheap & Chic sending their models down the catwalk in neon-bright Nike Air Max.
